Amazing stay with a personal touch
Had a fantastic 2 nights here! The room was super clean and cozy, with tea, coffee, and even biscuits. Barry and Claire were like old pals, giving us great tips for exploring the area. Breakfast was a highlight too, way better than those big hotel buffets! Only wish there was more parking space.

The Glendale in Keswick had a cozy atmosphere that felt welcoming. My room was comfortable and spotless. Barry and Claire, the hosts, were friendly and provided helpful local advice. Breakfast every morning was exceptional. I loved the variety on the menu, especially the poached eggs and fresh fruit. The location was ideal, just a short stroll to the town center. I did find the parking situation a bit challenging at times. Noise from neighboring rooms occasionally disrupted my peace. I really enjoyed my stay and would happily return.

my stay at the glendale was fantastic. it’s a lovely guest house in a quiet spot, yet close enough to walk to everything. my room was clean and comfortable, and the owners went above and beyond by making me a packed lunch when I had to skip breakfast for a hike. that personal touch really stood out to me.

The breakfast was fantastic with fresh fruit and a hearty English, setting me up perfectly for the day. I loved the cozy room and the lovely electric shower, which was better than most I've tried. The only small hiccup was the duvet feeling a bit heavier than I prefer, but that didn’t ruin my stay at all! 😊

If you're a foodie, then Keswick is your playground! The Dog and Gun is a charming spot for a hearty meal, but don't skip Abraham's Cafe for their delish pastries. The breakfast at Glendale was a true delight, eggs cooked to perfection! Plus, my King Room was spot on for a cozy stay with a top-notch shower.

Solo traveler’s great escape
Cooked breakfast was excellent and I had a good chat with the proprietor about non-league football. The room was more than adequate with a really comfortable bed, good shower and tea facilities at hand.
It wasn’t exactly inexpensive, but still within reason.
